Our Projects

At Tjindu Power, we are dedicated to revolutionizing clean energy solutions. Our projects encompass innovative technologies that pave the way for a sustainable future.

Renewable Fuels Production

Renewable fuels, including biofuels and synthetic fuels, play a crucial role in reducing emissions across various transport sectors, including aviation, road, and maritime. These fuels are produced from sustainable feedstocks such as agricultural waste, algae, and non-food crops, as well as through Power-to-Liquid (PtL) technologies that convert captured CO₂ and green hydrogen into liquid fuels. Compared to fossil-based fuels, renewable fuels can offer significant carbon savings and help transition industries toward net-zero emissions.

The growing demand for cleaner energy sources has driven innovation and investment in renewable fuel technologies, paving the way for the development and adoption of SAF in aviation. The aviation industry is under increasing pressure to reduce its carbon footprint, and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) have emerged as a key solution for achieving long-term decarbonization. SAF, derived from renewable sources such as biomass, waste oils, and synthetic processes using captured carbon and green hydrogen, offers a viable alternative to conventional jet fuel. It has the potential to significantly cut greenhouse gas emissions while being compatible with existing aircraft and fueling infrastructure.

The opportunities for SAF are vast. It can help airlines meet carbon reduction targets, support energy security by diversifying fuel sources, and drive innovation in renewable energy technologies. Governments and industry leaders are investing in SAF production and policy incentives to scale up supply and reduce costs.

High production costs, limited feedstock availability, and the need for extensive infrastructure and policy support present significant challenges. Scaling up SAF production to meet global demand requires advancements in technology, increased investment, and strong regulatory frameworks.

Tjindu Power has joined forces with UNSW Trailblazer Recycling and Clean Energy (TRaCE) and Chuangqi Times (Qingdao) Technology Company in a Research Commercialisation initiative to develop advanced electrolyser systems for renewable fuels production, i.e renewable methanol and e-SAF. The partnership will accelerate  the deployment of innovative clean energy technologies, ultimately contributing to a more sustainable future.
